🏔️ Winter Olympics Wellbeing Challenge – Game On!

The Winter Olympics just took place right around the corner from our Milan office – and our team at thyssenkrupp nucera couldn’t just watch from the sidelines. So we launched our very own Winter Olympics Wellbeing Challenge!

From February 6th to March 6th, colleagues have been tracking their activities, getting moving and sharing snapshots of their sporty side. Whether it’s skiing, running, hiking or anything in between – it all counts.

And a special shoutout to Giovanni, who created the poster illustrations — he’s been with us 35 years and his drawings are a beloved part of our company history. 🎨

The Olympics may be over, but our challenge is still going strong – and with the Paralympic Winter Games kicking off on March 6th right here in Milano Cortina, there’s even more reason to keep moving. Let’s finish this! 💪

faces of new era – Meet our colleague Aziz Arfo 📸

Flexibility, resilience and hands-on expertise, this is how Aziz navigates his world. 💪 Literally everyone at thyssenkrupp nucera® knows Aziz. Whether it`s a technical issue, a quick fix or simply a friendly face in the building, he`s become an integral part of the team.

💬 "I`ve settled in well and I get along with everyone here."

As Technical Facility Manager, Aziz keeps the infrastructure running. From office maintenance and security systems to building services, he`s the go-to person who makes things work. His versatility isn`t just a skill, it`s the result of a journey shaped by adaptability and determination.

💬 "I`m capable of anything. Show me the work, I`ll take a look and you can trust me to handle it."

Aziz`s path to thyssenkrupp nucera began in 1990, when he and his family fled the Lebanese civil war and arrived in Germany. After moving through several cities, he settled near Dortmund, learned a new language and navigated an unfamiliar educational system. He trained as a car mechanic, worked in aircraft cleaning and maintenance, ran his own thermal insulation business and later operated his own restaurant. Each station taught him new and reinforced one truth: he could adapt to anything.

Through it all, there`s been one constant: sport. 🏋️ From Taekwondo to kickboxing, including becoming the international German vice champion in 2006, sport has been his way to stay grounded. It`s where he finds his strength.

Since joining in March 2025, Aziz has found more than just a job. He`s found a team that values him, a culture that supports growth and the flexibility to balance work with family life. The transition required new digital skills, but the onboarding and healthy feedback culture at thyssenkrupp nucera made all the difference.

For Aziz, shaping the new era means showing up every day with the confidence that no challenge is too big and the commitment to being someone his colleagues can count on. 💜

India is building the future. And we`re right in the middle of it. 🇮🇳⚡

Our CTO Klaus Ohlig joined the McKinsey Leadership Roundtable at India Energy Week in Goa – discussing how policy, geopolitics, and technology are converging to reshape India`s energy system.

The topic? "Powering India`s Future: From Import Dependence to Energy Leadership."

The reality? India is already moving. Green industrialization isn`t a plan anymore – it`s happening. Hydrogen scale-up, refining decarbonization, renewable manufacturing at full speed.

For us, India is a strategic market. That`s why we`ve officially partnered with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) to advance green hydrogen and Power-to-X – combining development expertise with our electrolysis technology to assess India`s hydrogen landscape and explore scalable deployment models.

Policy stability, international partnerships with the EU and Global South, and clear commitment to the National Green Hydrogen Mission make India one of the most exciting platforms for scaling clean-energy value chains.

We`re not just watching this transformation. We`re part of it. 💜
